Corrections, disputes, and removals

Ontario Roofing Directory is an independent directory of roofing contractors across Ontario. Your listing appears here for free, built from publicly available business details and a score calculated from your Google reviews using one fixed, published method applied equally to every business. Payment does not affect your score or position in the directory. This page explains how to correct factual details, dispute a score or summary, request removal, or challenge a decision. Fixing business details

To correct factual information on your listing (business name, address, phone number, website, hours of operation, or services offered), send the correct details along with something that verifies them, such as your website or your Google Business Profile. Once a correction is confirmed and applied, it stays in place through future data updates.

Disputing a score

Scores are never manually adjusted. A dispute is a claim that the underlying data is wrong: for example, that your profile was matched to the wrong business, that reviews were attributed to you in error, or that a summary of reviewer comments does not accurately reflect what was written. When a dispute is filed, the sources are checked again and your listing is regenerated. A dispute is not a request for a higher score.

Requesting removal

Listings are removed when a business is permanently closed, a duplicate entry exists, or the listing falls outside the directory's scope. The directory also runs a monthly re-verification cycle that automatically removes closed businesses. If your business is open and in scope, a removal request may be declined. You will receive a clear explanation of why.

How quickly we respond

Every request is acknowledged within 5 business days. Confirmed removals are actioned within 7 days. Declined requests include a reason.
