All 15 reviews are five-star. Customers consistently report the team diagnosing hidden problems (rotted decking, flashing issues) rather than quick patches, completing work even in harsh winter conditions, and honouring warranty calls. Oleg, Dennis, and their crew have built trust across flat roof teardowns, leaks, and complex row-house jobs over five years.
Based on limited recent reviews, so treat this as low-confidence.
Reviewers report polished execution from start to finish, with daily email updates, knowledgeable staff, and site cleanup after each day. Roofing work meets quality expectations; the team earns consistent five-star ratings for professionalism and approachability.
Jaime's team delivers consistently strong roofing and exterior work across flat roofs, sloped replacements, aluminum siding, and ice dam repairs. Reviewers repeatedly cite clear communication, fast response, professional crews, and thorough clean-up. One reviewer had an unfinished job due to poor communication, but 52 of 54 reviews give five stars. Their 10-year workmanship warranty and same-day turnarounds on repairs set them apart. Multiple clients rehired them for follow-up projects.
Most reviewers praise Blackstar's professionalism, clean work, and reliable gutter systems with guards that eliminate yearly maintenance. However, recent complaints reveal serious flaws: one customer's gutters were installed backwards (sloping away from downspouts), causing standing water and dirt buildup, and the company ignored repeated requests for fixes since August. Pat and the crew earn consistent praise for responsiveness, on-time service, and attention during siding and soffit work. The gutter guards genuinely perform as promised when installed correctly. A separate complaint flags an undisclosed $3000 minimum job threshold. The installation error and non-responsiveness expose a gap between brand promise and execution on critical details.
